I have been in practice for over 31 years and have built a wealth of experience during this time. In addition to my private practice, I was a tutor for Oxfordshire Adult Learning Service for 20 years, teaching courses and workshops in reflexology and massage throughout the county. For over 17 years I worked at a private hospital in Oxford, offering massage to high dependency elderly patients and I also worked for several years on a voluntary basis as part of the Age UK Sole Mates team, providing footcare to people in their homes. In the 1990s I was contracted as Senior Aromatherapist to a pioneering corporate well-being centre in the automotive industry locally and have contributed to many staff programmes for local companies and organisations. In 2023 I moved to East Coker, near Yeovil, on the Somerset/Dorset border, where I am establishing a new practice.
Having grown up with holistic health since childhood, when I was first introduced to yoga and homeopathy, I began exploring massage in the mid 80’s and went on to qualify as an aromatherapist in 1992 and as a reflexologist in 1993. Since then I have worked with many inspirational teachers and completed numerous trainings including intuitive massage, acupressure massage, meditation techniques, reflexology, hot stone therapy, Indian head massage, Developmental Baby Massage, Bowen Technique, facial reflexology and reiki. My own personal practice of yoga, pilates and dance is a fundamental part of my daily life and influences my approach to bodywork.
In 2022 I was one of a group of 30 reflexologists awarded Lifetime Membership of the Association of Reflexologists (LMAR), a discretionary award made to those of us who have been members of the Association for over 30 years, and such an honour to receive!
How I work
Listening to the body and working deeply with a gentle sensitivity & intuitively from the heart, I work to hold a safe, strongly empathic and deeply nurturing space for each and every client, in which to completely unwind, let go of the outside world & come home to yourself. Sessions can be truly supportive, enriching and transformative.
My professional and personal development is an ongoing and ever-enriching process and I am continually grateful for what I learn and gain from working with every one of my clients. We never stop learning in life and bodywork is definitely my life's work...
I am passionate about the benefits of the therapies I offer and would love to share this with you!
